ScrapNFun Shortcuts for Great Scrapbooking Pages

New Tips for Great Layouts that Are Quick and Easy to Do, to Get Your Creative Juices Flowing

Jenn C.
It always seems like we never have enough time to scrapbook, or we're so tired by the time we get home we just don't have the ideas in our head to make a great page. Here I have put together quick and easy ideas for your pages that take little or no time to do. Each week I will post a new guide with more great ideas, under the title ScrapNFun so check back each week.

SQUARE IT OFF- Take a sticker and place it on the corner of your pages so that it is square, by cutting off the excess that overlaps.

POP IT UP- Use pop up dots to give your pages dimension, use on stickers, flowers, buttons anything you want to draw attention to. For example I will cut a person out of a photo, with small scissors as close as I can, and will overlap this cutout over another photo that may have blank space and pop it up with pop up dots, it makes the photo really stand out.

GLITTER IT UP- Take a small craft punch for example a dog bone, punch out across the bottom of a 12x12 page making a border, flip the page over, with packing tape cut a piece that is long as your border and with sticky side down place on back of page. Flip it over to the front and take white glitter and sprinkle on your border. Shake off excess. Nice sparkle for your pages.

STAMP IT- If you have a small alphabet rubber stamp set, stamp the letters for your title onto scrapbook paper, space them out so you can make them into squares, and glue onto your page, spacing them and tilting them in different directions.

SHRINK IT- Take report cars, diplomas, awards, movie tickets, sport tickets, admission tickets, marriage licenses, concert tickets, artwork, newspaper articles and scan them on your scanner and reduce the size of them , or if your printer has a wallet setting print them in this format, and cut them out and glue to your pages.

THEN & NOW- Find a picture of when you and your special someone were first together, and find a picture from now. Write on your pages how many years you've been together, and how you first met, a great memory for your children and grandchildren. This also can be done with photos of your children, cousins, friends, pets and more.

YOUR FAVORITES- Do a page with your favorite things, such as songs, books, movies, actors, actresses, tv shows, food, sports etc. Do this at least once a year, its nice to reflect back on what your favorite things were say 10 years from now.

YOUR FINISHED PROJECT- If you are baking cookies, cutting a pumpkin, coloring eggs, getting crops from your garden, take a photo of your finished projects by themselves, makes a nice filler for your scrapbook pages.

INCLUDE YOUR KIDS- While scrapbooking a page of your child, let them write their name somewhere on the page, trace their hand, let them draw a small picture, write you a note, you will look back at this and so will they as quite a treasure.

Have Fun ScrapN!
