Scream Queens: Top 10 Sexiest Women of Horror Movies

When it comes to the sexiest women of horror movies, they can be the victim, the monster, or, in some cases, both. Megan Fox, a.k.a. the sexiest woman in the world right now, is about to become one of the sexiest women of horror movies herself with 'Jennifer's Body', a bloody movie with a semi-nude scene and some stills that have Megan Fox looking less than her best. However, she joins the many other talented and beautiful women on this list as some of the best vampy vixens of horror movies that either make us scream or scream plenty themselves:
Janet Leigh in 'Psycho' - Janet Leigh didn't have to do nude scenes in what is often referred to as one of the best horror movies of all time to shock audiences; all she had to do was don a bra and hop in the shower. Women like her didn't exist in 1960; she wasn't married but was in a state of undress at a man's house; she stole money; and, even though she appeared to be the main character in the movie, she was killed off long before its completion. Janet Leigh honestly doesn't get enough credit; she wasn't just one of the sexiest actresses of her time, but one that was willing to take risks who didn't just do her job well; she turned it into reality. Plus she's responsible for producing another of the great women of horror movies, daughter Jamie Lee Curtis, star 'Halloween'. In fact, the classic horror movies that these two amazing women star in would make an amazing Halloween double feature.

Sigourney Weaver in 'Alien' - When it comes to sci-fi horror movies, you can't beat 'Alien'. Sigourney Weaver isn't one of those women that you think of being one of the sexiest you've ever seen when you first look at her, but once you see her onscreen for awhile, her strength, perseverance, and of course her skimpy outfit at the end of this movie show just what an amazing woman she is. This is one of my favorite horror movies, and one that women can definitely feel good about; Ripley does end up being the smartest member of her crew in the end and defeats her foe, a being that has evolved into a perfect and powerful killing machine, without having the brute strength to do so. This is one of the best Halloween movies I'd recommend if you want something different than the usual furry and undead monster fare.

Megan Fox in 'Jennifer's Body' - I haven't seen it yet, but with much ado being made about Megan Fox doing a nude scene (she's not really nude, however) and playing a killer cheerleader that's a real man-eater (literally), there's no doubt that Megan Fox is going to be declared one of the sexiest women of horror movies when this film debuts. But don't expect for Megan Fox to look perfect during all of this movie; Jennifer's body is possessed, after all, and judging from some of the screenshots of this film, that makes Megan Fox's body do some pretty freaky and frightening things. It'll come out a little bit before Halloween, so it's a good jumpstart to the freakiest time of the year.

Odette Yustman in 'The Unborn' - I consider Odette Yustman Megan Fox lite; she's one of the sexiest actresses I've seen as of late, but she's overshadowed by the other dark-haired beauty with gorgeous eyes. This definitely isn't one of the best horror movies you'll ever see, and the makers obviously knew this; their marketing scheme involved showcasing more of Odette than scenes from the movie. But despite being overshadowed by Megan Fox when it comes to being the sexiest current star of horror movies, Odette might become a scream queen; she also starred in monster flick 'Cloverfield', and she's set to take part in a remake of one of the great classic suspenseful horror movies, 'And Soon the Darkness'. But for now enjoy watching her in 'The Unborn' for Halloween; she might be one of the sexiest actresses you'll ever see of horror movies, but be forewarned, the child in this movie is one of the freakiest kids from frightening films.

Salma Hayek in 'From Dusk 'Til Dawn' - The girls may prefer vampires from non-horror movies 'Twilight' and 'New Moon', but the guys love Salma Hayek's vampy vixen with a thirst for blood. Salma Hayek is shockingly sexy as a vampire stripper with a snake and one of the best movie names ever, Santanico Pandemonium. If you've seen this movie, then you might not want to watch it for Halloween; it's one of the most unique horror movies out there, but the first half doesn't feel like a horror movie at all. So it might not fit the Halloween mood, but I guess it's worth watching for Salma.

Elsa Lanchaster in 'The Bride of Frankenstein' - I absolutely love Elsa Lanchester's take on the monster's bride as one of the first women of horror movies to play a real monster. Her wide-eyed look and that wild hair have made her one of the greatest icons of horror movies, paving the way for many women to follow in her awkward, jolting footsteps.

Rose McGowan in 'Grindhouse' - I don't know if having a machine gun for a leg makes you one of the sexiest or scariest women of horror movies, but Rose McGowan definitely will leave an impression on you in this movie. It's chock-full of B-movie, midnight madness goodness, with plenty of cheesy dialogue, gore, and badass moments. It's very uncomfortable to watch Rose try to walk with her unique prosthetic, but, then again, the whole movie is pretty uncomfortable to watch. If you're planning on watching a lot of B horror movies on Halloween, top them off with this modern classic to see how it stacks up.

Simone Simon in 'Cat People' - For one of the tamer horror movies on this list, try this unique classic about a woman who may or may not transform into a big black cat. It's like the female version of the Wolf Man, taking a look at how women would respond to transforming into deadly forces against their will. Simone Simon is definitely one of the sexiest women of classic horror movies, and its nice to see a monster movie with a female lead (we can be pretty scary, too, after all). It's a great movie for watching on Halloween with gals like me that don't like a lot of blood, gore, and violence.

Julie Christie in 'Don't Look Now' - This movie has become well-known for a very explicit nude scene, but it's not the most shocking scene in the movie. This is one of my favorite horror movies because of how bizarre and unique it is; the whole movie has a dark, nightmare-like quality to it, but not the kind of nightmare where danger is right in your face, rather the kind where you can just sense that something is not right around you. If you haven't seen it, then you absolutely must watch it at nighttime around Halloween to truly be scared.

Julie Adams in 'Creature From the Black Lagoon' - Julie Adams is the sexiest horror movie pinup girl you'll ever see in this classic about a deadly monster that falls for a human dame. Perhaps the whole point of Julie Adams being in the film was just to look pretty and be the monster's bait to attract the other less-attractive humans making his life hell, but I don't think that this movie would have become one of the most well-known low budget horror movies of all time without her. It's one of those fun-to-watch classics that you must watch around Halloween.
