Scripture Blessings for St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and it is time to mail your greeting cards. You may wish to add a passage of Scripture that speaks of God's blessings this year. Including a Bible verse is a means of sharing your faith with others. Both the Old and New Testament are loaded with verses that speak of God bestowing blessings upon his people. Although these verses were written thousands of years ago, they are still relevant today.

"The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." Numbers 6:24-26

"And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God." Deuteronomy 28:2

"And now, O Lord God, thou are that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever." II Samuel 7:28-29

"For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance." Psalms 21:6

"He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation." Psalms 24:5

"The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace." Psalms 29:11

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." Psalms 33:12

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah." Psalms 68:19

"He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great. The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth." Psalms 115:13-15

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." Ephesians 1:3
