Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner Review

The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner is a product that makes a large promise in its commercials. Buy this product and you will never have to scrub your shower again. While the commercials for this shower cleaner is careful not to use those words, the picture that is painted and the slogan "We work hard, so you don't have to" said it all.

The Scrubbing Bubbles commercial shows a woman in a bathroom turning on the cleaner. Immediately after pressing the button and walking away a bunch of maids who seemed to have taken the Tom Cruise Mission Impossible class begins tumbling in like they are in an action movie and proceed to scrub the shower until it glistens. A voice over tells the audience that this is how clean your own shower will be if you buy the Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner. I saw this commercial so often and loved the idea of never having to scrub my shower again.

The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner is widely available in many stores and retails for $24.99. In the box you will find the cleaning machine, four AA batteries and two bottles of 32 oz. liquid cleanser.

After buying the Scrubbing Bubbles system and setting it up, I took a shower and then pressed the blue button before quickly exiting the stall. When the button is pressed to activate the shower cleaner, a 15-second clock starts and it gave me more than enough time to leave the shower before the Scrubbing Bubbles system began to spray its cleaning solution.

This automatic shower cleaner is supposed to clean from top to the bottom of the shower but after hanging it from the shower head, the nozzle part hangs pretty low. This means that the top part of the shower does not get sprayed, which means that it does not get "cleaned".

Roughly two to three weeks after I first turned on the Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner, I should be able to tell a big difference because my shower should be clean and stay clean by activating the cleaner daily. Unfortunately for Scrubbing Bubbles this system does not work anywhere near as well as the commercial claims that it would.

The top of my shower was not cleaned, there were streaks and water spots still clearly visible and the cleaner just became extra gunk on my shower tiles that needed to be cleaned by hand. I decided not to use the Scrubbing Bubbles system anymore because due to the fact that you are letting it do the work and waiting weeks to see if did the job correctly, dirt, soap scum and the build up of the cleanser means that you have to work extra hard with the physical clean up later. This is not a product that I would recommend if someone asked me about it. However, it seems that the Scrubbing Bubbles works better for some than it does for others because of the difference in the shower water.

I agree with you this product couldn't clean itself much less a whole shower. I put one into a brand new bathroom that was just done,so I know it did not help at all.
