Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel
Who Invented it Doesn't Require Sainthood, but We Should at Least Give Them a Raise
Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel doesn't qualify as a miracle, doesn't include a bathroom valet to personally clean your toilet, and isn't packaged with $5 bills inside the container. It does maintain a cleaner, brighter toilet bowl, a fresher-smelling bathroom with each flush, and extends time between necessary cleanings. This is significant. Anything or anyone who minimizes the time I need to spend staring into a commode counts as a "friend" to me.
The product is a bit awkward to use the first time. Package directions instruct the user to apply the gel to an already-clean bowl, so unless you're applying this to a virgin commode, you'll still need your old toilet brush and toilet bowl cleaner. One then fits the plunger into the applicator, removes the top lid, presses the gel-end against the toilet bowl above the waterline, and pushes the plunger one plastic notch ahead to leave a daub of gel. Rubbing your head in circles and patting your belly at the same time are optional.
Here's the real key to why this product is so good: the product doesn't erode the flushing mechanism in the toilet tank, which inevitably leads to a plumber's visit and significant money spent. Similar products that lengthen periods between toilet bowl cleanings, promise to kills germs and decrease odor, and keep the commode bowl bright that are used in the toilet tank are secretly made by a consortium of plumbers. Well, the first sentence is the truth and so is the fact that this gel works well.
PLEASE NOTE: A fellow-reviewer has brought it to my attention that this product might be harmful to pets who consider the bathroom commode as a secondary water-dish. Please consider this prior to purchase!
