Scrubs is Better Than Grey's Anatomy

There are two prominent hospital television shows that are on primetime television. These, of course, would be Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy. I refuse to count that awful show on ABC and ER has just gotten very weird in the last couple of years. Scrubs and Grey's have many differences. The main difference is that Scrubs is a great television show while Grey's Anatomy is one of the worst shows I have ever seen. There are several reasons why Scrubs is better than Grey's Anatomy. Here are just a few of those reasons.

First Reason Why Scrubs Is Better Than Grey's Anatomy: Scrubs is funny on purpose.
Whether it is Dr. Cox degrading J.D. or just J.D.'s imagination running wild again, Scrubs has laugh-out-loud humor. That is the intention of the show. When I laugh at Grey's Anatomy it is because either the storyline or acting is so poor that one cannot help but snicker. I'll take the one that makes me laugh for entertainment's sake.

Second Reason Why Scrubs Is Better Than Grey's Anatomy: Scrubs is an original television show.
A show based in a hospital that has the main character narrating? I can't imagine where Grey's got the idea for that. If blatantly ripping off Scrubs wasn't bad enough Grey's has even gone into the vault and stolen from old-school episodes of ER. A bomb strapped to a patient? I remember that ER episode. Dr. Benton had to rush out of the trauma room. It was great television. One of the main characters almost dies? I remember Dr. Carter's brush with mortality. I think he became a drug addict because of it. At least Grey's steals good ideas. The show just implements these ideas very poorly.

Third Reason Why Scrubs Is Better Than Grey's Anatomy: The drama in Scrubs is reminiscent of situations that take place in real life
Scrubs isn't just a comedy. The show deals with situations that real doctors have to face everyday. The show is supervised by doctor's who have actually worked in a hospital and many of the storylines on the show are from stories contributed by actual doctors. Dramatic events not dealing with the hospital directly are so well done because of the character development on Scrubs. The characters remind me of people I am close with. Even the people I know who enjoy Grey's admit that the drama is very far-fetched. Even the love stories on Grey's get ridiculous after awhile. Once again those comments are coming from fans of the show. Why do they even watch it?

Fourth Reason Why Scrubs Is Better Than Grey's Anatomy: Scrubs does everything better than Grey's in half the time.
Scrubs has everything Grey's has and tons more and does it all in a half-hour timeslot. I don't know how people can watch the train wreck known as Grey's Anatomy for an hour without ripping their hair out. The thing is I wouldn't make Scrubs any longer. The fact that it is only thirty minutes is one of the many things that makes Scrubs such a quality show.

Fifth Reason Why Scrubs Is Better Than Grey's Anatomy: Dr. Cox could beat the crap out of anybody on Grey's without breaking a sweat.
Not only could Dr. Cox take on all of the effeminate males onGrey's at the same time with ease. He is also a much better doctor. Secretly the women on Grey's all want Dr. Cox to get transferred to their hospital. Just because he can Dr. Cox is going to send them "The Todd." High five!

If the rumors are true than there is (at most) only one more season of Scrubs. That is a shame because Scrubs is without a doubt one of the best shows out there today. It is also disappointing because, without Scrubs, where will Grey's come up with storyline ideas? I guess Grey's won't be around much longer, either.
