Sea Eagle 330 Sport Kayak - Product Review

Epiphany
I had gone kayaking several times, and greatly enjoyed the sport. I decided to look into purchasing a kayak for myself, but was confronted with high prices. I also had no idea where I would store the boat, living in an apartment. After doing some research, I came across Sea Eagle inflatable kayaks.

I purchased the Sea Eagle 330 Sport Kayak (the company's most popular) a year ago, and haven't looked back. For only $299 (and it usually costs even less, because they have sales constantly), you can purchase the entire package: a kayak, 2 paddles, 2 seats, a foot pump, and a storage bag. I personally upgraded to the "deluxe" seats for $50 more and they were worth every penny- the seats are quite comfortable and supportive.

The first time I took the kayak out, I found it quite easy to set up. It's light enough for one person to carry and it took me only about 15 minutes to inflate the kayak and seats. Now that I'm more accustomed to the process, it takes me less than 10 minutes to get in the water.

While two people can fit into the boat, I find it more enjoyable and controllable when just one person is in the kayak. I was no expert kayaker when I bought my Sea Eagle, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use. I am lucky to live in a city with lots of water, and take it out almost every weekend in the summer to paddle around the bay. This kayak can supposedly handle whitewater rafting, although I have never tried.

The maintenance is very low. I spray the kayak clean when I am finished using it, dry it off quickly, and pack it away for the next weekend. It is very easy to store and doesn't take up a large amount of space like a traditional kayak. Because it packs up into a small size, it easily fits into the trunk of your car when you're taking it to the lake, etc. for the weekend.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a cheap, but high quality kayak. It's a great starter kayak and I hope to upgrade in a few years!
