Sea is a Thai restaurant located in the very hipster area of Brooklyn called Williamsburg. I was lucky enough to have gone to this restaurant when it just opened; a former girlfriend lived around the area and introduced me. The minute you walk into the restaurant you are left in amazement by its beautiful scenery. It has a nice fountain in the middle with a giant Buddha surrounded by tables and seating. Nice place to sit but very little space for plates so don't order too much if you are sitting at these particular tables. There is a small area, almost like a lounge for you to sit and even a swing to enjoy while you wait for your food. The lighting is a bit dark even in the daytime, they have small candles on the tables, guess they are trying to give it a classy feel, but it can be annoying at times. The bathrooms are very futuristic, they look like big giant pods and inside it has a TV screen so you can see all the patrons inside the restaurant, fun but creepy at the same time.

Now let's talk about the food. Like I said before I was able to go to this restaurant when it just opened. The food was great, loved the lychee Ice tea. Great dishes at great prices are what it's all about here. They serve really large portions, so one dish can be split for two and honestly when I go with a group of friends this is how we usually eat everyone orders a plate and then we all share the dishes. I am not big on spicy food so most of what I ordered came mild. The appetizers are fantastic, get the spring rolls!!! On my first visit the service was quick and attentive; I had nothing for praises for SEA. Flash-forward to 2009, my wife and I decided to take our friends to SEA they don't really get out much and my husband thought they would enjoy the environment, plus they are vegetarians so they would have a lot of options. We went on a Saturday afternoon, it was busy but not to the point where people are waiting for tables. We ordered our meals; the waitress had an attitude as if I was asking her to make my food. When the food arrived it was okay, not great, not how it use to be. I've gone to other Thai places, without all the bells and whistles and honestly have had better food than at SEA. They need to change their cooks and get rid of their wait staff.

Not once did my waitress come back to check up on our table. We were thirsty, and I had to literally get up and go to the bar in the back to get my drink. Next, when it came back to pay the check, the waitress had disappeared hadn't seen her in about 25 minutes so I ask the hostess can you please get my server and she was like "No, ask the other server over there to get you the check. "I am sorry but I thought the Hostesses job is to make sure the customers are taken care of. I finally got my check paid it with my credit card and stormed out of the restaurant. I have never gone back and never will.

I hear they opened another one in Manhattan; hopefully they have better service and food.
