Better Than Good

Do you like seafood? Then here are two seafood restaurants in Dandridge, Tennessee and two in Knoxville, Tennessee that you must try out.

The first one is Captain's Galley located at 522 Patriot Drive in Dandridge, Tennessee. Their phone number is 865-397-9387. They have everything from Haddock to clam strips to catfish. They have some of the most mouthwatering seafood in the state of Tennessee. Now if you are not really in the mood for seafood when your partner is, then you can have the porterhouse steak or another steak or your choice. Or you can go light (although I do not know why you would when you are at such a wonderful restaurant) with a seafood or plain old salad. Yummy! This restaurant is located conveniently right off Interstate 40 Exit 417. So if you are traveling this way, stop in and fill up on some um um good seafood. You will not want to miss it.

The next choice for seafood is Dandridge Seafood located at 310 East Meeting Street in Dandridge, Tennessee. Let me tell you, the fried oysters here are absolutely out of this world. The catfish (if they have it) is so good you will not want to go anywhere else for it. Of course, they have other choices also. You can have seafood salads, sandwiches, and other seafood goodies. Now this restaurant is only open certain hours of the day, so you may want to contact them at 865-397-2315 before you go.

The next seafood restaurant, Chesapeake's, is located at 500 Henley Street in Knoxville, Tennessee and their phone number is 865-673-3433. Here you can find absolutely wonderful seafood. It is so good that one might just think that "Tennessee has an ocean of its own". You can find everything from Cod fish to fresh oysters to mouthwatering clams and scallops. They have rooms where banquets of 25 people or 35 people can be held. And they also offer a patio "cocktail reception" for up to 30 guests, but this is only offered seasonally. Chesapeake's also offers catering services.

The next restaurant is Bonefish Grill which has two locations. One is at 6610 Kingston Pike (865-558-5743) and 11395 Parkside Drive (865-966-9777) both in Knoxville, Tennessee. Now if you just pull up the website (www.bonefishgrill.com) you will see that this restaurant is unique. They have grilled fish, baked fish, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, they have gluten free items, kid friendly items, appetizers, platters to share, salads, and even martinis and cocktails. They have soups, salads, and what they call "hand helds" (smaller portions and can be eaten with the hands), and wine. Here the fish is inspected and cut fresh every day. Then it is cooked over a wood-burning grill. On the website you can even read some of the stories of the fishermen who bring back the fish for Bonefish Grill. So this restaurant is a must try if you are ever in Knoxville, Tennessee or if you live in or around Knoxville and have never tried it.

Happy eating and hope to "sea" you there.
