Sean "P Diddy" Combs is Hiring!

mike white
You're Hired! Well not exactly, but those are the words someone will be hearing from Sean 'Diddy' Combs when he hires his next personal assistant. What is he looking for? Well, someone that can count, read, and get him a good coffee and bagel. What may be surprising is where he is looking for his next assistant at, you got it, Youtube.

Since July 11, Sean Combs has been on the prowl, looking for a personal assistant that could handle the responsibilities that come with being the right and left hand of one of the busiest people in show business. Not only the CEO of Bad Boy Records, but owner of a restaurant in Atlanta that is named after his son, and a clothing line that bears his name, the job of Sean Combs' personal assistant has to be one of the most fanatical opportunities on the market today. With his massive collection of parties and late night recording sessions, being Diddy's personal assistant is in no means an easy job. But when you gauge the interest based on the number of submissions via Youtube it is obvious the world wants to work for the man who knows how to get money.

Sean Combs' rise to fame is well documented. He grew up in New York City before leaving to attend Howard University in Washington DC. After a year, he returned to New York City convinced that his fate rests in becoming Andre Harrell's intern. When he did, Sean took the opportunity and ran with it, becoming one of hip-hop's most charismatic and successful record producers. Producing acts like Mary J. Blige and the Notorious B.I.G. as well as developing bands with MTV via their reality show, Making the Band, Diddy has to be one of the most respected men in entertainment.

Diddy is not without his critics and controversy. With the death of his best friend and most marketable talent, the Notorious B.I.G. in 1997, less than six months after the untimely murder of Tupac Shakur, Sean Combs, then 'Puff Daddy', suffered a bit of an image hit with the massive east coast-west coast hip-hop rivalry resting on his doorsteps. With that season of malfeasance behind him, Combs returned to being and doing what he does best, producing dynamic records that play well in clubs and on the street.

Now that he is in the market for a personal assistant, Combs is looking for someone who wants more than just to be in the music business. To him it has always been more than just making hit records and making a lot of money. Music is about the love affair between the artist and the audience, the show, the fun, the thrill. And no one has put on a better show over the last fifteen years than Bad Boy Entertainment. In some ways, everyone around Sean has been his personal assistant, including his current choreographer and hip-hop side show, Farnsworth Bentley. When Combs was filming the first season of Making the Band for MTV, you saw various persons around him running errands and doing odd, personal assistant type jobs. Bentley, whose image as Combs' manservant, endeared him to the public beyond his musical talent.

In Youtube, Sean 'Diddy' Combs is allowing those interested in becoming his personal assistant to submit videos entailing why they are interested in being his personal assistant. Never one to be satisfied with mediocre talent, Combs was recently disappointed in the quality of candidates. Therefore, Combs returned with a second Youtube video that was more detailed about the qualifications for the position, including being able to count and have a college degree. With over ten thousand submissions to date, the pool of applicants is vast. But rest assured, Sean Combs will find the right one. He always does. If he didn't, he wouldn't be Diddy.

    Hi Mr. Combs:
I am a disabled single parent with a son that is looking for a record deal. He wants to be a rapper and he has done several talent shows at his high school and won the trophy. Now i don't undertand a lot about rap, but he does. All he does is buy beats and he writes his own lyrics. He reminds me of Michael Jackson when he stated to his mom in the movie about there being so much music in his head. Well, this is the way my son is and I don't know exaclty where to begin to try to help him to make his dream come true. I hope that somehow you will find time in your busy schedule to read this message. I have the upmost respect for you and your gift as well as your contribution to all american people.Any advice or directions you could share with us will be greatly appreciated.God Bless you and your family. Thank you for your time and consideration.
