Search Engine Optimization Savvy

Michael Allen
Google recently announced that it would be able to deliver results in real time. What that means is that the response to the internet is getting so much faster than it ever was. Search Engine Optimization is getting more and more important. But, in no way is it more difficult.

What Google means by real time results is that as you type, the search engine results will change by each letter. If I wanted to do a search for "New Pool Designs," I would begin typing "N-E-W P-O..." With each letter, a new set of results will display as I type and the entire first page will change as I get closer to what I'm actually trying to find.

This has very significant value for online business entrepreneurs who rely on search engines to supply them with most of their traffic. In fact if taken seriously and acted upon, all online business entrepreneurs will be able to rely more and more on search engine traffic. New techniques will emerge, but they will all stem around the same Search Engine Optimization strategies we've been using for years.

Real Time Results

First of all, if Google will be able to deliver results by the letter, then that means that its own internal indexing must be able to be in real time. With a need for fresh content across the internet, Google has developed real time methods that can find that new information and produce it on relevant results. That has a huge impact on the way that we can do business.

Traditionally, Google would produce results that were relevant among established websites. These websites for the most part would be static websites that have actually no dynamic properties at all and many times weren't presenting any new information to the internet. This is where the scope of Google's reach is going to change. A website no longer has to be established in order to get that recognition. It just has to be accurately relevant with deadly accurate relevancy.

Google now has the speed in which to index new pages almost instantly. That's what real time means. As each new page is introduced to the internet, Google can index it and record its title, keywords, and description almost as instantly as it is created.

Real Time Solutions

But, what is the true impact of this new adjustment to speed? Search results will no longer just be a list of websites where you can find information. Search results will produce a list of web pages that might contain articles, blog posts and forum threads. This has already started to happen. But, it's good to bring it to everyone's attention in case they have missed this evolution.

The way to set yourself at the advantage for the coming change is to supplement your current business with articles, blogs and forums. You may have already thought about that or acted up on it already. But, many relic websites are not making the move. They don't see the need to add an article campaign, a blog or a forum to their business plan.

An article campaign establishes you as an expert in your field. If you are a pool guy, you can build a brand for yourself by letting everyone know how much you know. Answer questions. Help people understand more about your field. Write good articles and your readers will become your traffic. Traffic converts to sales.

A blog is a way of keeping your clients and potential clients updated on what is going on with your company. You can completely sync it with Twitter, Facebook and whatever other properties you have across the internet so that one blog post will produce great reading results depending on how far your social media properties can reach. Reading results produce traffic. Traffic converts to sales.

A forum is a way of getting your clients and potential clients interacting. Produce about five threads a day and soon, your forum starts to show up on the search engines. Depending on the search, your threads will begin to hit certain queries. Those search engine results will produce traffic. That traffic will either be looking for answers or a chance to discuss your topics. Either way, that traffic converts to sales.

While Google continues to evolve, Search Engine Optimization remains the same. Researching keywords that are relevant to your business and strategically displaying them on all your pages is still the way to optimize your website to produce top search engine results. Of course, there is more to it than that. But, those strategies won't change. Only how you build your online business will change.
