The Super Nintendo Entertainment System was undeniably the best game console ever assembled. The Super Nintendo released critically acclaimed games such as Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, and The Legend of Zelda 3. These games are iconic to gamers all over the globe and are also considered as some of the best ever made! Unfortunately, some games released by this same system never really saw the light in the United States since it was only released in PAL territories. Terranigma is the one game that comes to mind that was released as a PAL game cartridge. The cartridge fetches for a lot of money on www.eBay.com and is considered to be gem to collectors due to its rarity. Had this game been marketed in the United States, it would have easily been ranked as one of the best Super Nintendo games ever. Terranigma was developed by Quintet and published by Enix in 1995. Enix was best known for producing games such as the entire Dragon Quest series and Secret of Mana. Terranigma is a single player action-based RPG game that enables you to learn a wide variety of fighting techniques as you gain experience. Also, you have the ability to discover different lands throughout two different worlds as you go along through the game. The fighting techniques also include the use of magic spells.

I do not want to spoil the game's plot, but what I can tell you is that you (or the character) start off by resurrecting Earth's continents one by one by roaming through dungeons and freeing souls. That segment of the game is just a tiny portion of the tasks that will come in your way throughout the game. The only way to purchase this game during the mid 1990s was to travel overseas, but you can easily purchase it on eBay these days. If you check out www.gamespot.com, you will need to search Terrangima for user scores. There are over two hundred user scores that have given the game a nine average rating out of ten. This game has elements from games such as Zelda: A Link to the Past and Chrono Trigger, but with a unique twist. You MUST play this game not only for the heart-warming story, but for the amazing game play.
