Just in time for all those New Year's Resolutions to lose weight, here comes season five of NBC's hit reality show, The Biggest Loser. They're trying a new thing this season, Biggest Loser couples.

Some are romantic couples, others aren't. Either way, it should be interesting. Here's a list of contestants from The Biggest Loser website.

Bette-Sue and Ali: a mother-daughter team from Arizona. The Biggest Loser Website says Bette-Sue's New Year's resolution is to "To have only one chin."

Paul and Kelly: an ex-husband and wife from Florida. It should be interesting to see if they get along better or worse than the married couples on the show.

Neill and Amanda: a husband and wife from Oklahoma.

Jackie and Dan: a mother and son Biggest Loser team from Illinois.

Jay and Mark: brothers from Massachusetts.

Jenn and Maggie: They're both from New Jersey and describe themselves as best friends who work for a weight loss camp. (You have to wonder, if they're going on The Biggest Loser to lose weight, what does that say about the camp?)

Curtis and Mallory: a husband and wife Biggest Loser team from Los Angeles.

Trent and Roger: Trent is from New York state and Roger is from Alabama. They're friends and former football teammates from Alabama University.

Lynn and Jenni: a father and daughter Biggest Loser team from Ohio

Brittany and Bernie: Brittany is from California and Bernie is from Chicago. According to the Biggest Loser website, their relationship is "none". So, I'm not sure how that happened or if not knowing each other will be an advantage or disadvantage. According to interviews on the website, the people who know each other in advance are hoping their partners will spur them on when they're feeling low.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, you can "play along" on The Biggest Loser website, by joining their Club. It's free and includes weight loss tips, recipes and motivational tools.

Viewers are encouraged to send in their before and after photos to The Biggest Loser website. Even without joining The Biggest Loser Club, you can read tips from the successful contestants on the show as well as find other information on things like Getting Fit and Healthy Eating.

As the obesity problem continues to grow in the U.S, any help may be worth it. It will be interesting to see if a reality show and website will inspire people to make long-term, lifestyle changes.
