Cool Off with Summer Brews

Seasonal Beer

Some cities have only one season; Chicago is a place that offers seasonal variety with all four: fall, winter, spring and summer.

It doesn't get much better than summertime in Chicago: baseball at Wrigley or The Cell, beaches and beer. The Windy City has a plethora of brewers who make fantastic summer beers.

Goose Island Brewery makes Summertime Ale, a golden taste treat with a hint of citrus from the hops. Get a six-pack or get some on tap at their Wrigleyville or Clybourn facilities.

Piece Brewery and Pizzeria serves Baron von Awesome beginning at their Summer Kickoff Party June 2nd. This summer brew is well worth the trip to Wicker Park.

Two Brothers Brewing in Warrenville features Dog Days -- their seasonal summer offering -- a crisp-finished Dortmunder-style lager.

Three Floyds Brewing rings in with Gumballhead, their seasonal summer wheat beer brewed with Amarillo hops for an item with a unique taste and character.

Hot fun in the summertime means you get to cool off to great flavors of great summer brews.
