Seasons

A Poem from Me to You.....

Lorraine Hayden
In the course of our lives, we come across a variety of people. From the time we enter kindergarten up until the time we end up in a nursing home. Hundreds maybe even thousands of people would of came in and out of our lives. What determines the course of our lives is whether we hold on to certain people and let others go.

Many times we hold on to people, places and things that are only meant to be in our lives for a season. The pain we feel at the moment of a lover lost, a lost job or a lost home is only temporary. Often times we manipulate those in our lives to stay around longer than needed, not heeding the messages that the Almighty had placed in our hearts.

Every lesson in life prepares us for the bigger picture. People enter our lives for a reason, if only for a season.

Seasons
You came into my life when I needed you the most
There was no need for introductions
For we were one kindred spirit
Both a curse and a blessing to me
My eyes were opened to what I needed to see
I still miss your smile
The smell of your cologne
The way you held me
And wiped away my tears
But you also contributed to my tears
With your betrayal
Time moved on and so have I
There is no bitterness in my heart
Only thanks
Thank you for the life lesson
Thank you for gift of passion
Thank you for coming into my life
If only for a Season

Good work. You have a way with words.

Beautiful. Yes, sometimes it is important to remember that not everyone in our lives is supposed to be there forever, as hard as it may seem to let them go at the time.
