Seattle Seahawks Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Las Vegas Line & Pick Against the Spread

Seattle Seahawks Attempt to Get a Precious Road Win Over Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Todd Jacobs
The Seattle Seahawks will head down to Florida December 26th to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Seattle Seahawks are battling for the NFL Playoff lives in this game as are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams were projected at the bottom of their respective divisions and both have exceeded even their own fans expectations.

The Seattle Seahawks were blown out of their own building by the Atlanta Falcons before this game and a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will end their season unless they get some help. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a heartbreaker on their own field also in their last game in an overtime loss to the Detroit Lions.

Seattle Seahawks Offense vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense

This years Seattle Seahawks have been inconsistent on offense especially on the road. Matt Hasselbeck has dealt with injuries all season long and his playing days may be nearing an end but he is looking to make the NFL Playoffs in his last year.

The running game of the Seattle Seahawks has been lackluster this season. They are averaging 84 yards per game on the ground. The addition of Marshawn Lynch has not provided the help they expected for their rushing game and the passing game has been decent at best.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is best against the pass. Their secondary is allowing just 206 yards against opposing quarterbacks and the combination of Ronde Barber and Aqib Talib is one of the best in the NFL.

Up front the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is solid but not impressive. They rank 30th in the NFL in sacks and have failed to pressure quarterbacks, thus putting added pressure on the secondary. This may be a problem to watch in the last two games of the season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense has the edge over the Seattle Seahawks offense.

Seattle Seahawks Defense vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offense

Defense is also a glaring weakness on this Seattle Seahawks team. With Pete Carroll as the head coach it is interesting they are so poor defensively. The Seattle Seahawks secondary is giving up 266 yards per game through the air and they are getting smoked on a game by game basis.

The run defense is not much better for the Seattle Seahawks. They are yielding over 116 yards per game on the ground and they are weak up front to boot. The front line ranks 12th in the NFL in sacks but they are on the field an extraordinary amount of time due to the poor offense.

Josh Freeman and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense have been inconsistent all season long. Freeman has a few weapons to choose from on offense but they have not been reliable in every game. Kellen Winslow is a solid tight end and Mike Williams has performed at a high level when he is in the game.

The offense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is averaging 117 yards on the ground while using an assortment of running backs. LaGarrette Blount and Cadillac Williams have been the two backs with the most opportunities on this team but neither has put together a great year. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense has the edge over the Seattle Seahawks defense.
