Seattle Vs. Dallas Score Could Surprise Cowboys Fans

The Seattle Vs. Dallas Game Appeared Quite Good on Paper

The Seattle vs. Dallas score could be closer than expected. The Seattle vs. Dallas score started out in favor of Seattle early on, showing that they weren't going to go away quietly. The Dallas Cowboys started out with the ball, and looked like they might be able to drive it down the field, but their drive ended up stalling and ended up being a punt that pinned the Seahawks pretty deep on their side of the field. When Matt Hasselbeck took over the ball for the Seahawks, the first play made everything look like it was going to fall apart for Seattle. On a running play they were stuffed behind the line-of-scrimmage and the only thing that kept it from being a safety was the forward progress.

With quarterback Matt Hasselbeck leading the charge down the field, Seattle started really racking up the yards on the Dallas defense. With some good running plays mixed in between some great pass plays, Hasselbeck led the Seahawks deep into Dallas territory. Dallas would hold on defense though, and Seattle was forced so send out Olindo Mare for a 43 yard field goal. The Seattle Seahawks possession ended up being 14 plays for 69 yards and a 3-0 Seattle lead with a bit of the first quarter to go. Dallas was playing on their heals, but immediately came back on their possession, driving a bit before a 36 passing touchdown from Romo to Hurd to put the Cowboys up by a score of 7 to 3 with 3:12 left in the first quarter.

The Seattle vs. Dallas game already seems like it is going to be one of those where the last team with the ball will come out on top in the match-up. Both defenses seem to be leaving big gaps in the secondary, and that is going to give a lot of options for the two pro bowl quarterbacks to tear these teams apart. For Seattle, they are suffering from quite a few injuries on defense, and they are really struggling to fill in the gaps as the season progresses. Dallas on the other hand, may have underestimated what Seattle was going to bring against them on offense, and it will be up to the Dallas defensive coordinator to figure out how to adjust as the game progresses.

The Dallas vs. Seattle game is extremely important for the Cowboys, because if they can pull out a win they can push their record to 5-2 and stay within shouting distance of leading their division. It's equally important for Seattle, who has their backs against the wall after a frustrating and injury plagued first few weeks of the season that have left them with an overall record of 2-4 on the season. If they want a chance in the NFC West they will need to start winning games. With a lot of game left to play though, anything could happen as the clock continues to tick.

In Game Score:

Dallas 35 (Start of 4th quarter)
Seattle 10

At the end of the day, the surprise is how badly the Cowboys beat the Seahawks. :)
