Does it matter that film movies look like video to you?
However, unless you are a motion film fanatic, you will think that the performance is worth the price. You may realize that Sony's Motionflow, particularly with the Sony BRAVIA KDL-52XBR4, makes 24-frame-per-second film movies look like video. To most of us, we could not tell the difference between movies shot in film or video. So, really it may just be a grey; not so important area for the majority of consumers. Anyway, you can switch off the feature & watch movies in standard mode too.
Do you watch television from its side or front center?
Sony claims to provide 178 degree viewing angle but you may want to take a look at the TV set yourself to see it for real. Some folks who have actually used the Sony BRAVIA KDL-52XBR4 claim that the viewing angle is only good up to 45 degrees from the center. Also, you may want to use external home theater speaker system with the set. Once you have used excellent home theater speakers, most in built speaker systems, including the Sony BRAVIA KDL-52XBR4 will sound like inadequate.
Do you reckon that the BRAVIA KDL-52XBR4 is worth the $3,600 price tag?
Sony is famous for its high priced HDTV offerings. Sony must think that it is offering consumers HDTV products that are worth every cent that they are paying. Sony's LCD HDTV offering totals a strong 50 model line up including the new Sony BRAVIA KDL-52XBR4. The largest model from Sony is currently the 70 inch limited-availability, XBR5. The newest LCD HDTV from Sony is currently the second largest model in Sony's line up. Don't you think that the remote controller should look less like plastic?

Sony Inclined towards LCD HDTV Production
So Sony seems to be producing more LCD than any other types of HDTVs nowadays. The Sony Bravia SXRD KDS-50A3000 50″ 1080p Projection HDTV is possibly the last rear projection HDTV that Sony produces. It is not a good sign for folks with a small budget & not able to buy the large size HDTV's that they desire.
Do you see Sony becoming more inclined towards LCD HDTV?
Perhaps it is due to the Sony's merger with Sharp regarding LCD production. You can view some info about it on the below links.
1) Sharp & Sony Joint Production LCD displays
2) Sharp Interacts with Sony to Recapture LCD HDTV Market
Apart from the above information, LCD is known to be easier to manufacture & more pricey for consumers than Plasma. Plasma is another HDTV technology that Sony has left behind in the shadows.
