Second Sex and the City Movie Confirmed: Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte to Reunite for Sequel
That means fans be able to enjoy Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis on screen again playing their beloved roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt. Fans first fell in love with the characters in the hit HBO television series Sex and the City.
So when is the new Sex and the City movie coming out? Currently Sarah Jessica Parker is currently working on the script with Executive Producer Michael Patrick King. Filming is set to begin later this year. The new Sex and the City movie will be released May 27, 2010. That puts two years between the first Sex and the City Movie and the second Sex and the City movie.
When we last left off in Sex and the City: The Movie Carrie had married Mr. John Big, Samantha had broken up with Smith, moved from Los Angeles back to New York City and decided to live for herself again, Miranda had patched up her marriage with Steve after he cheated on her and Charlotte gave birth to her first biological daughter.
So what will the new Sex and the City movie be about? Only true fans will daydream about all of the possible storylines regarding the girls. What we can count on are fabulous fashions and scenes that are full of life in the heart of New York City. And it's sure to be a fun film. And according to Sarah Jessica Parker, more fun that the first SATC movie.
In an interview with Access Hollywood Sarah Jessica Parker talked about the upcoming Sex and the City film saying "I think we want this one to be a romp The last one, we got to tell a really mature sophisticated story that had real heartbreak in it and this time, I think we want a romp. We want our audience to have a massive romp."
In the meantime, SATC fans can visit message boards to chat about what they think they'll learn about Carrie and Big's marriage and other tidbits about the lives of Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.
Although Sarah Jessica Parker had said in the past that she didn't think there would be a SATC movie sequel, fans will be pleased that the girls will be on screen again.

Sure to please the die-hard Sex and the City fans.
When "Sex and the City" comes on my ABC affiliate after the new, I turn the television off. I just did 5 minutes ago, in fact. I only get receive the one channel. Maybe it's time to hook up that little black box! :-)
