Secret Clinical Strength Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

Shhhh! the Secret is that It's Nothing Special

Susan Abe
I think the real secret to Secret Clinical Strength Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant is that it just happens to be the old Secret repackaged. Well, there are two additional and important differences as well: First, they added a teensy-bit more of the active ingredient (20% versus 19% of aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex GLY); Secondly, they jacked the price up so that you'd think you're paying for a prescription medication - without a co-pay. I wondering how 1% extra active product translates into how much more expensive the "clinical" strength is and why an extra swipe of the regular strength stuff wouldn't simply accomplish the same desired effect.

I didn't find the new Secret to work any better than the old Secret and it had all the same old flaws: stained some clothing, left white streaks even on white t-shirts, clogged up my shaving razor. It worked in that it kept my underarms dry and prevented whatever perspiration odor I might have developed over a 2-night long camping trip in humid 90* plus weather, but since I haven't been camping in 15 years, the whole "dry" and "not stinky" thing is simply an hypothesis. I can truthfully say that no one snubbed me at the gym that week - or so that I noticed.

I need to also admit that I'm more than a little leery of this whole anti-perspirant/deodorant racket, especially when tagged with the term "Clinical." This is deodorant, people, not chemotherapy and I wonder why it has to be sold so seriously!
