Have you seen Secret Diary of A Call Girl? If you haven't, then you are missing out. Its about a girl named Hannah who moonlights as a high class prostitute named Belle. She is played by the talented Billie Piper who you might know from Doctor Who. The show gets its premise from the blogs of Belle de Jour. Now the show originally aired in the United Kingdom. It was such a phenomenon that the hit channel Showtime decided to air it on their channels. They almost recast the show with American actors but decided not to ruin a good thing. See U.S. versions of Couplings, Teachers, As If, and Touching Evil. Now you might think that Secret Diary of A Call Girl is probably nasty and raunchy. Well, its not. Of course, Belle deals with threesomes, orgies, and S & M. But she also has a heart. She balancing a life of sex with a life of being normal. This show is not soft core porn. The writing is perfect. The acting is perfect. Its original, funny, and realistic. I can't wait for the second season of this show. This is the best show of the season.
