Secret Love Letter

A.M. Morgan
Dear Love,

Previously my heart eluded you

By being unwilling to admit it really needs you

In up close and personal encounters we continue to meet hesitantly

And with resistance your open affection is preceded with my constant questioning

To be honest I don't trust you because I don't trust me in your presence

In the back of my mind I don't want you to leave but I am afraid to let you know

Should you decide to go I would probably shed a few tears but close my eyes so it would not show

However, love I am awfully sorry for being a coward and continuing to let you walk out the door

For my bitterness is unwarranted when I keep moving on without giving you a chance to grow

Please accept this sincere apology

And whenever you are ready to return I will let my need to control your affect on me go

A lovely expression of feelings. This letter is too beautiful to be a secret.
