Secret Santa Gift Ideas

Crystal
Secret Santa gifts can be fun, easy, and economical. In fact, each Secret Santa gift exchange program usually has dollar limits put on it. This is intended to put everyone in the same playing field. What are some good gift ideas for you to surprise your recipient with? Here are some suggestions...
Flowers. One the first day, your Secret Santa gift to your recipient will be a cheap, yet pretty, vase. The second day through the final day you will give either one or two flowers. By the end of the gift exchange, your recipient will have a flower bouquet. Flowers can be either fresh or fake. Of course, if they are fresh, be certain your recipient does not have allergies. That would be a bummer.

Writing utensils. Everyone seems to need pens, pencils, and colored markers. For whatever reason, these things have a tendency to disappear quite often. Here is your plan: Each day, give your Secret Santa gift recipient a new one. To keep your spending limit under control, just buy the basic pens and pencils. By the end of the gift exchange, your recipient will have a new private pen and pencil collection. Your gifts will be appreciated.

Kitchen towels. These always come in handy. Plus, they can be bought for only $1-2. Another good thing about kitchen towels is the fact that everyone needs them. Your gift will be useful, unlike other gift ideas you will see around the office. Your plan of attack for your Secret Santa gift giving will be to give one per day. Your recipient will have developed a nice collection of kitchen towels by the end of the program.

Music. If you play a musical instrument, call your Secret Santa gift recipient each night of the program and play a tune over the phone. Have it recorded on their voicemail. This will save time during the workday when your recipient might be crunched for time. On the last day of the gift program, introduce yourself. Wait for results!

Balls. We are not just talking about any ball here. We are talking about those squeezable balls (and other shapes) meant to reduce stress. They come in all colors. Some have smiling faces on them. Some come shaped like penguins. You get the drift. These balls can also be used to help with hand muscle exercises. People who sit and work on a computer will welcome these gifts. Your plan: Each day you will leave a new ball (or other squeezable toy). By the end of the Secret Santa gift program, your recipient will have accumulated a nice variety. In addition to providing them with some stress reduction, you will have provided your recipient with an exercise option.

Gag gifts. Ranging from plastic slinkys to cheap action figures, these gifts provide no useful purpose. They, hopefully, will bring a smile. Your plan: Each day of the gift program, give a new item. On the last day, give a small basket to hold the gifts in. Go to your local dollar store to find a variety of possible gifts.

Beefcake with a cause. Buy a calendar that benefits a nonprofit cause that you believe in. Most nowadays have a yearly calendar that has 'beefcake' pictures (firefighters, police, dogs, housewives, etc.). Use your digital camera to take a picture of the best ones. Print it up with your computer. Your Secret Santa gift plan of attack: Give one picture per day. On the last day of your gift program, give the entire calendar. The only drawback to this gift idea is the fact that your gift recipient better appreciate good art.

These are just a sampling of some of the Secret Santa gift ideas that will have you bringing smiles to someone else. Use your imagination and enjoy!
