Secret Skin Care Tips For The Face

It really is not that hard to get a healthy looking face. Knowing the right products to use for your skin type and age are some of the keys. Following a daily routine that cleanses and moisturizes your face will keep your facial skin supple and keep away the look of dry or oily skin. It is also important to care for the delicate skin around the eyes. Our eyes are one of the first things people notice on our faces so it is important to battle the wrinkles, dark circles and bags that may find themselves attracted to one of our best assets.

The biggest mistake most people make with their facial skin care routine is using a cleanser that contains harmful soap, or an actual bar of soap. This is a no-no. Soap is harsh and abrasive to the skin. One should always chose a non-soap cleanser and use warm water when washing the face. This will remove dirt and oil gently without over drying or removing the deeper more important oils within the skin that keep the face healthy.

It is important to re-moisturize the face after washing, to replenish any oils that have been whisked away. You only need just a dime-sized amount of moisturizing cream to cover the face. For those with dry skin, which can be caused by any number of things including weather and alcohol content in beauty products, a cream with a humectant like glycerin should be used to attract moisture to the skin. For those with an uneven skin tone, caused by too much sun, peptides should be applied in order to firm up elasticity and soy or licorice extract can be used to lighten up the dark spots. Those with combination skin should try a soothing green tea extract in their moisturizer.

If you want to hide your age it is important to take care of the sensitive skin around your eyes. Use an eye cream both day and night for best results. For puffy eyes, which can be caused by poor circulation, try eye creams that contain aloe vera to soothe or caffeine for a circulation boost. For dark circles, which are caused by pooled blood vessels, use caffeine or a grapeseed extract to promote circulation. If you suffer from crow's feet, those fine little wrinkles at the corners of the eyes which are caused by a breakdown of collagen in the skin, pick a cream that contains amino acids. The amino acids will trigger natural collagen production.
