Secret Tips on How to Get Free Jewelry

Hosting a Jewelry Party Has Double Benefits

Are you short on money, but long on fashion? Do you miss seeing your friends because of work or busy kids? There is a way to combine seeing your friends with earning free jewelry. The answer is to host a jewelry party at your house through a jewelry direct sales representative.

When you host a jewelry party, you will invite your friends and neighbors, provide refreshments and enjoy a special evening. The jewelry direct sales representative will take care of bringing the jewelry and talking about her products.

Jewelry Party Tip #1 - Invite More People Than You Intend

Whenever you are hosting a jewelry, candle or home decor party at your home, be sure to invite twice as many people as you would like to attend. There will always be friends who a.) Can't attend due to other obligations, b.) Friends who don't want to attend because they don't wish to buy anything, and c.) Friends are unable to attend at the last minute due to family emergencies or illness.

Jewelry Party Tip #2 - Food

When you are hosting a jewelry party, the more friends who attend will turn into more sales, which translates into more free products for you. It's nice to be known for being a generous host in regards to food and drink. When I hosted my recent Premier Jewelry party, I spent a lot of time planning the menu.

On the invites, I made sure to state that appetizers and wine would be served. To make it easy, I had two hot appetizers and five non-cook appetizers, as well as a cheese platter. For drinks, I offered red and white wines, diet and non-diet soda and water.

My guests were thrilled that I offered a nice selection of food and they didn't just pick at it, they really ate!

Jewelry Party Tip #3 - Paper and Electronic Invitations

Evite is the most efficient tool for inviting your guests to a jewelry party. This site will let you load your friends' emails to your Evite address book. When you log into your invitation, you can check when your guests opened the invitation and who has responded "yes", "no" or "maybe".

Evite sends an email notification to you when someone replies to the party. Approximately 5 or 6 days before the jewelry party, your guests who replied "maybe" or "yes" will receive an email reminder of your event.

Mailed invitations are essential to mail to friends and neighbors whose email addresses you don't possess. Receiving an invite to your jewelry party via snail mail is still exciting and in the RSVP section, make sure to give your email, as well as your phone number. By giving your email, these invitees may send you an email as a reply (and now you will have their email for future parties).

Jewelry Party Tip #4 - Give Out Catalogs

Friends who can't attend due to non-monetary reasons will often say that they would still like to order a piece of jewelry from the catalog or brochure. When your friend says she will order something, she most likely is sincere.

Make sure to have the direct jewelry sales representative give you plenty of catalogs before the party, so that you can obtain pre-party orders. The jewelry company that I used with my party gives the hostess a $25 extra merchandise credit if $100 or more in sales are obtained before the party date. Other direct sales companies may have similar incentives.

Jewelry Party Tip #5 - Tell Co-workers

Co-workers who are interested in what you do on the weekends or who are stylish and like jewelry may be interested in ordering from you when you have your party. Although you may not want to invite your co-workers to your house, you can still take orders from them.

Bring some brochures to work and start to talk about your upcoming event. Mention how fashionable the products are and you will see that they will want to look at the catalogs and order from you.

There is nothing more exciting than wearing quality jewelry that you have obtained for free. Hosting a jewelry party has a double benefit. You can host a memorable event for your friends and earn free jewelry in the process.
