Secrets to Navigating the Target Store in Lancaster, California

Abbitha
Most towns have a target store. Each Target store is slightly unique to the town it is in. I love going to Target because I often find great deals there. I think knowing how to navigate your Target store can help you find the best deals and get through the store the quickest. Here are five tips to shopping in the Target in Lancaster, Calif.

Parking

When you first get to the store the most important, and often hardest, thing to do is find a good parking space. You want to make sure you find a space close enough that when you are leaving with all your purchases you don't have a long walk out to the car. I recommend going to either side of the store. On the side closest to 10th street is the garden center. This parking is close to the store and you can enter right through the garden section. Just be careful parking here if you are shopping late at night because the garden center closes before the rest of the store does. On the other side of target there is parking directly in front of the store separate from the rest of the parking lot. These parking spaces are right in front of Rent-a-Center and the other small businesses. These parking spaces are further to the right of the store, but they are much closer. Most people don't think about these spaces so often there are quite a few spaces open.

Clearance Items

Usually the clearance items are located in a small area in each section, but if you know where to look you can often find more hidden deals. There is a cut through to the housewares section right by the music, and at the end of the isle there is always a lot of items on clearance. Behind the electronics section, before the garden center door, Target always puts their seasonal clearance. This is where you will find the Christmas and other holiday clearance items. You will also find end-of-season clearance products here, such as summer and winter items like pool toys or jackets.

Dollar Deals

As you enter the store right after you select your cart to the left is Target's dollar deals. Often they will have some great items here. You have to look around at the different items because the different products always change. Also be sure if you like something get it this time, because it might not be here on your next trip. I have found lots of different things here for just a dollar, such as a pack of sippy cups for my daughter - I love them because I can use them when we travel and I don't care if they get lost. I have also found many small toys that make great things to pull out when your kids get bored on a road trip or waiting at a doctor's office. Around Christmastime, this is the best place to shop for stocking stuffers.

Cheap Movies

I always love finding a good deal on DVDs. I always make sure to check here before I check out. Right by the registers there are always DVDs. They often have some great deals, on older DVDs. Sometimes they even have great deals on DVD sets. I love looking here to find that surprise DVD that I love and finding it for $9.99. Just be careful because mixed in with the good-priced DVDs are the new DVDs at regular price.

Shortest Lines

One of the most overlooked places to check out is the garden center. The lines in the garden center will often be quite short. If you followed my earlier tip of parking by the garden section, you will be even closer to your car when you leave. If the garden center registers are closed or you parked on the other side of the store, you probably want to use the front registers. At the front registers, always look to see if the registers in front of the other registers are open. Most people don't realize that these are separate registers with separate lines, and they will often be much shorter.
