If you are not familiar with a hidden mickey, the best definition is from http://www.hiddenmickeys.net/ : "Hidden Mickeys started out as inside jokes among the Walt Disney Imagineers. A Hidden Mickey is an image of Mickey Mouse concealed in the design of a Disney attraction (ride, resort, etc...). Originally, it took the shape of a head and ears silhouette, i.e. one large circle with two smaller circled on top in the appropriate place, but Hidden Mickeys can take on many forms."
Some hidden mickeys are very easy to spot like in the Haunted Mansion, in the ballroom with the dancing ghosts...the plates set on the table are arranged to form Mickey Heads. Other are not like the one that is within the ferns, at the Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot. There are tons of info on these on the internet, if you want to find them on your next trip to Walt Disney World.
Another secret Disney has is on Main street, U.S.A. Your walking along and as you pass the bakery you smell the yummy cookies. What you don't know is that isn't fresh baked cookies your smelling, it scented oil the blow out through a fan towards the sidewalk, to give the illusion of the shop baking the cookies.
One secret is a sentimental one for most fans of an old ride, that is not there any more, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The ride closed to many protests in it's place the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh opened. If you look you'll see a picture of Mr. Toad handing the deed to the attraction over to Owl. It is on the one door at the very end the ride.
Another great secret is, the trashcans in tomorrowland, they talk. In fact one has a name called Push. Push will even dance. He isn't there all the time, but when he is, it can be quite comical.
The last secret I will reveal is on Tom Sawyer's island they hide paintbrushes all over the island. If your family finds one take it to a cast member and they will give you a free fastpass for everyone in your family to either Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
On your next visit to Walt Disney World look for these secrets and you will enjoy your time a little better.
