You have a new yoga video, but you are out of shape. Perhaps it caught your eye in the discount bin or at a garage sale. The cover certainly features some conventionally attractive yogi with a spectacular body. You feel optimistic this 30 to 60 minute video can help you on your quest for better health, flexibility and sex appeal. And it can. Practicing your new yoga video three times a week will burn calories, increase your strength and elongate your muscles.

Start by getting yourself a delicious snack (a low calorie, healthy snack please) and sit down on your comfortable couch to watch the yoga video once through. If you are giddy with motivation, carefully and casually half-attempt some poses and listen for special instructions on modifications for beginners.

Promise yourself to make an attempt at your yoga video tomorrow. Do not eat for 30 minutes to 1 hour before working out. Wear comfortable clothing, or preferably a workout outfit you feel sexy in. Working out in front of a mirror can help you achieve better form in your yoga postures.

Press play to start your yoga video session and follow instructions carefully. You may experience headaches and dizziness. Honestly, you might find yoga is not fun to do when you are not good at it. Personally, sometimes I get tired or bored because of my short attention span. Unless you are in pain or feel like you will collapse or puke, push yourself to complete 3 to 5 minutes more, note how much time you spent doing yoga. Now, take the torture out of yoga and turn off the video.

You will likely find the amount of time you engage in your yoga practice with lengthen over a short period of time. It is possible you might even enjoy yourself and look forward to it.

Some lucky folks are blessed with natural flexibility. Unfortunately, many of us (including skinny me) have to work at it. The hot chick or sexy guy in the video will likely have much more flexibility than you. This is both beautiful and annoying. With diligent practice, your flexibility will increase over time. Your fingers will get closer to your toes and your nose will get closer to your knees. When you lack the flexibility to engage in a posture, do your best and imagine yourself doing the pose perfectly. Intentionally ask your body to do the best it can.
