At the heart of the Midwest you will find a cozy college town. Entering Lincoln, the capitol of Nebraska, you are greeted by the towering State Capitol located in downtown and lit up with splendor for Christmas. Lincoln is home of the University of Nebraska. It is also home to the Nebraska Huskers college football team, and the women's volleyball team. It is not your typical small town farming community. It is not your bustling big city either. A great place to raise a family, Lincoln combines learning and technology with a friendly attitude. Schools and parks abound making this town pleasing to drive around.

No matter where you are from, Christmas time is a season of miracles and beauty. Everywhere you look everything glows and sparkles. Holiday bells of silver and gold ring a happy tune. The snow makes everything shimmer. Lights dazzle and amaze the old and the young alike. Some of the neighbors display their lights with simple elegance. And others adorn their homes to look like you have just walked into a Christmas wonderland. If you love to look at all of those beautiful Christmas lights, you won't want to miss Star Tran's 16th annual Holiday Light Tour. A bus tour like that would be neat to have in my city. I think there are some private ones, but I haven't looked into it closely. Good article, teammate!

Starting October 1st, 2008, Star Tran was required by federal law to discontinue the holiday lights tour. At the same time bus fares went up.
