See the Leaves Changing in North Georgia
Neighborhood: Aska
Blue Ridge, GA 30513
United States of America
It's autumn again and the yearly leaf looking season will be underway very shortly. Vacating to north Georgia is a good idea if your intentions are to see breath taking views of yellow, red gold and orange. Most of the small towns have motels or if you really want to experience wilderness in all it's beauty, then there are all kinds of rental cabins for all prices to enjoy your weekend.

Blue Ridge is one place in particular that the yearly leaf goers venture throughout. All kinds of mountain roads, a beautiful downtown, and numerous trails for hiking anywhere you could wanna go. There is even a celebration for the changing of the leaves in downtown. There are a few roads that are a must travel if you are in the area.

Aska Road is about as unique as any and is a great cruise for anyone visiting or just riding through. About four miles down the road, you begin your ride along the Toccoa River over the mountains and through the valleys. All kinds of trees and overlooks surround you. there is a very nice restaurant on the river before the first bridge that is only open on the weekends. You can take your own bottle to drink so don't forget your wine in town!

Highway Two is another beautiful road that ends at the Cohutta Mountains. The trees are very plentiful and colorful all the way out this road. Cashes Valley about six miles down, to the left, is a very rough road for the extreme off-roaders and off-roading vehicles. The whole ride is through the woods and the end is the gateway to nature in the Cohuttas.

There are many roads much like these. Cutting through the mountains, dead ending at a river's edge, and passing by the lake are all fun for anyone during leaf season. Highway 60 going into Suches is another amazing scene for all to enjoy. North Georgia has so much to offer and Blue Ridge is just the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy the sunny, warm days and chilly, dry nights.

I grew up in a small town so I will always have those family values and humility that comes along with the personal contact and association that comes from a small town.  View profile
