Take off your shoes
step into the salty water sparking clear
see the shells on the sandy bottom
as the surf washes up on shore
walk forever into the ocean,
and the water barely touches your knees
see the shrimp darting,
see the minnows swimming,
so much beneath the surf
Castle in the Sea and Castle by the Sea,
boats ferrying people to and fro
dark swirling water, sharks guard the edge,
swimmers in the ocean
people in the Med.
