A must-see stop is the CN Tower, a marvel of civil engineering that stands 151 stories overlooking the Ontario landscape and was designed to elevate broadcast and telephone signals high over the city's skyscrapers. Stop off at the Look Out level for a view of the horizon and then step on the Glass Flour and see the streets of Toronto below your feet. Consider paying an additional $8.83 CAD for a ticket to the Sky pod observation level that is 33 stories above the main observation levels. Conclude the day with your choice of 3-D film or a motion theater ride, which is included as part of the CityPASS ticket. Stop by during sunset for a truly spectacular view of the city. If you want to dine at CN Tower's 360 Restaurant consider making reservations beforehand to ensure you can get seated.
Art lovers can browse around the spacious Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). In particular, be sure to see their First Peoples of Canada exhibit with over 1,000 artifacts some on display for the first time. Guided tours and some special exhibits are included with the CityPASS. Occasionally there will be a fee for a special exhibit. Audio guides are available for and extra fee. If possible, get there before 1pm when the museum is the least crowded. Audio tours are available for an extra fee.
From May to October, architecture buffs would enjoy strolling around Casa Loma, the former estate of Sir Henry Mill Pellatt, an unabashed romantic, who had a medieval castle built overlooking Toronto. Try to get there before 11:30am before the crowds arrive. CityPASS ticket includes an audio guide and the Pellatt documentary film.
When visiting the Ontario Science Centre be sure to see their daily science demonstrations. Some special exhibits are included with a CityPASS while other exhibits require an extra fee. Tickets to the OMNIMAX Theater must be purchased differently.
For another family friendly fare, stop by the Toronto Zoo. Consider downloading a copy of the zoo map beforehand to help can plan the day's excursion. CityPASS tickets provide general admission but Zoomobile, camel and pony rides and face painting require an additional fee.
Toronto CityPASS tickets cost $67.97 for adults and $40.16 for children aged 4-12 and are valid from 9 days from the date of issue.
