Hollywood may have its "Walk of Fame," but New York City now has "Ride to Fame," a mobile monument created to commemorate newsworthy New Yorkers. During the summer of 2010, Gray Line New York launched "Ride of Fame," a promotional campaign where they will dedicate some of the buses in its fleet in honor of a famous individual with ties to the Big Apple.

On June 8, 2010, Gray Line launched this program by honoring real estate mogul and NYC icon Donald Trump as their first "Ride of Fame" dedicatee. At the ribbon cutting ceremony held in front of Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, Donald Trump dedicated the bus that now bears his name on the front. In true Trump style, he was accompanied by Miss USA® Rima Fakih as he cut the ribbon and then boarded the bus for a short ride around midtown Manhattan. During his short ceremony, he stated. "I am pleased to be chosen by Gray Line New York for their 'Ride of Fame' campaign. By providing tourists with a safe and informative way to see this great city in the best way possible, Gray Line is a very significant part of the New York City tourism industry. I love New York - and this is a great honor. Thank you, Gray Line."

In response, David Chien, Director of Marketing for Gray Line New York issued this statement, "Donald Trump epitomizes the grand nature of New York City and has added so much to its society and culture," says We are so honored to be able to present him his own mobile monument to immortalize his impressive New York City presence."

A Gray Line red double-decker bus with his likeness on the front of the vehicle is now available for sightseers to "ride" each day. Future buses commemorating other noteworthy individuals with New York City roots will be unveiled in the months to come.

Since 1926, Gray Line has been providing tourists with a full range of double-decker bus tours to the city's must-see spots designed to accommodate a range of different interests and Liberty helicopter tours. Those wishing a quick getaway from the City can check out their a one-day excursions to Niagara Falls, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and the Woodbury Common premium shopping outlet mall. In addition, they provide foreign language tours in German, French, Korean, Spanish and Italian for international travelers.
