Seeing Family Members You Haven't Seen in Years

This article is about seeing my family members I have not seen in a long time. We got together under bad circumstances. We finally seen each other last night at their grandmother's funeral services.

I have not seen my cousin's in a long time. Years even. It was so good to see them, but under the circumstances it was not good.

My cousin's live in Mississippi, and I have not seen two of them in like 10 years or more. It was so good seeing them. They have not changed at all. They are coming up to my house today to visit my grandmother who has not seen one of them in well over 15 years.

When we were young we used to spend so much time together. We we inseparable. You could not pull us away from each other. Now it is a different story because they are married and have kids and they have their own lives.

Many families have reunions to get their family back together. That is what we used to do, but now we cannot because of how my grandmother's health is. I wish it could be different, but that is just the way life goes.

My cousin's have had a hard life as well as I have which I think that is why we are so close to to each other. It is good to know that you are not the only one in the family that has had a bad life.

My cousin's have been through a lot. The youngest has tried committing suicide I do not know how many times because his dad wanted nothing to do with him when he was a little baby.

My cousin's were in Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi, and when they had no where to stay and times were hard, my cousin chopped all of his fingers off on his right hand because he was mad at his brother and plus the depression of the hurricane.

They were in the hurricane and lost everything they had. They are right now just starting to get back on their feet. They know it will take a lot longer to get all the way back on their feet, but they have hope every day.

The hurricane has been depressing for everybody that went through it. Some people lost their homes some didn't.

My youngest cousin, after chopping his fingers off and having surgery on them, decided it was time to come back home because nothing was left for him in Mississippi. He moved back up to Ohio about a year ago and has been doing pretty well. The other two still live in Mississippi trying to get their lives back together.

I have faith in them and I know they will succeed in everything they try to accomplish. No matter how hard the battle will be they will fight till the end.
