Segway Company Owner 62 Year Old James W. Heselden Dies Riding a Segway
James W, Heselden's Body and the Segway He was Riding was Recovered from the Cliff He Drove Off
The cliff is said to have been a thirty-foot drop into the River Wharfe, at the scenic location on his Boston Spa estate in West Yorkshire.
James W. Heselden was a British man well know for working for what he wanted and was a very wealthy British businessperson. He owned and operated Segway, which is a two wheel riding machine that many people enjoyed riding.
This is a terrible tragedy that has happen to a man whom accomplished so much with his life. The model Heselden was riding was one created for off road riding. James W. Heselden purchased Segway this past January. Segway was actually invented by American physicist Dean Kamen in 2001, he owned, and operated segway until James W. Heselden purchased the company.
James W. Heselden ranked at 395 on Sunday Times of London's Rich List with an estimated $263 million worth. Heselden worked as an engineer, minor, and then invented a container similar to Jersey barrier for battlefields. It is used as a defense against bullets, suicide bomber attacks and missiles. The containment system is a wire cage that can be filled with sand and earth.
Segway company owner James W. Heselden founded Hesco Bastion in 1990 that sells barriers to NATO nations. Which includes sales to the US and UK.
Segway owner James W. Heselden is survived by his wife Julie, five children and eight grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
