Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed: My Daughter's Model 5000

Your Sleep Number is the setting that you choose, any number between zero and 100 that is the comfort combination you choose for your mattress. It is based on the firmness and support you like best for your body shape and size. The perfect Sleep Number will give you the perfect night's sleep.

Tossing and turning all night in their king-sized water mattress bed; my daughter and her husband awoke each morning tired and achy from their night's sleep. Sleep is supposed to relax you, but this was not happening for the two of them. So, when his Mother asked what they wanted for Christmas, my daughter and her husband said they would love to have one of those Sleep Number beds by Select Comfort. For approximately $2,500, that is just what they got for Christmas. Select Comfort did not charge anything to ship the bed to them.

They were excited when the bed arrived. All five boxes of it! Select Comfort™ offers delivery and set up, but we decided that this is something we could do ourselves. When the boxes started coming, we got a little nervous about setting it all up ourselves, but it proved to be pretty easy. In no time at all, we had the Sleep Number bed set up and ready to crawl in!

They got the Sleep Number Bed, model 5000, with dual chambers and a wireless controller. It also has a great, 11" thick pillow top mattress that has a nice fill, so it is very soft. It also has a nice zippered top that is easy to take off. Oh, and it has a really cool labeling system that made it easy to figure out how to put all of the pads and linens on!

My daughter is very thin and only 5'4". Her husband is 6'1" and about 175. Their Sleep Number settings are completely different because of the difference in their body shapes and size, and of course differences in preference. It took a couple of nights to find exactly the right settings for each of them, but she now settles in for a great nights sleep at a Sleep Number 35, and his favorite Sleep Number setting is 60. They now wake up each morning well rested and not aching anywhere.

I didn't sleep in my daughter's bed...yet. But I did try it out and my Sleep Number is 25. Now, I just have to save my money and buy me one!
