Self Government in 2010

Rita Jan
In 2010, when we have a new president, new healthcare reform and new economy growing, the biggest question on our minds could be: Who is establishing and changing laws? I hate to place new administrative regimes on a back burner, but the truth is, we are. We, the people of the United State of America, are the law makers and law reformers. I am not talking about the political process, which is already rampant with corruption and disease. I am talking about our own self governance.

If we live our lives having established our own rules and legislature, and follow them to the best of our ability, we do not need outside government. We do not need higher government. We do not need man-ruling-over-man without express written permission. If we establish our homes and communities with common sense and establish laws over our individual selves, we are in an ideal position to be in complete control over our lives. And what does anybody want more than to have complete control over their life?

There is a disease spreading throughout the earth, one of childishness. Adults have not been raised to take personal responsibility for their actions, and the general mentality is "I want it because I want it." However, if each man has determined himself to be a sovereign entity, his goal is to further his own privately owned and operated kingdom, and to leave others to their own kingdoms.

You are your own kingdom. You are your own entity, ordinance, governing body and property. Care does not need to be taken to worry about the business or affairs of others if you are living by your own established rules. Even the nosiest of busybodies become well concerned over their own business of they stick to this principle. It is not a matter of exerting control over someone else to "respect" you. It is a matter of only attending to your kingdom, your business and your establishment, and the respect from others naturally follows, just as winter naturally follows autumn which naturally follows summer.

Establish the rules of your kingdom or queendom, judge fairly, increase productivity and learning, bless achievement and curse destruction. Recognize that, as your own governing body, you need not be concerned with the opinions of others, for correctly written laws do not violate the rights of others in the first place. And enjoy the control you now have over your own life.
