For gastro intestinal disorder, ginger root has been found to be effective in alleviating nausea. Slippery elm bark, a very soothing herb, can be used to aid and comfort any irritated surface such as scrapes, bruises, bed sores, and diaper rash. It can be sprinkled on dry and by adding a small amount of water; it becomes an excellent band aid because it sticks to the skin by itself.
