Sell Used Clothing on EBay

A lot of people make really good money whenever they sell used clothing on eBay. You can do it too. Here's how...

Do Some Research Before You Sell Used Clothing

Do some research to find out what sells. Simply look at the completed listings. Check out their starting price, shipping fees and keywords. Check Out Your Local Thrift Stores, Consignment Shops And Yard Sales

Take a trip to your local thrift store, consignment store, rummage sale and garage sale. Make sure to take your time when there.

Don't Expect Stellar Condition

Don't look for items that are in stellar condition whenever you sell used clothing. You will need to launder and iron them; sew on missing buttons; and repair loose hems. Make sure to get out any smells; use a lint roller to get off any lint; and make the item look really nice before taking pictures. Look For The Good Stuff When You Sell Used Clothing

Be on the lookout for designer labels, high quality fabric and new items that still have the tags on them. Look the item over carefully before purchasing it because most places will not allow you to return items.

Make Sure You Show And Tell Flaws When You Sell Used Clothing

Make sure that you describe any flaws in the item and if at all possible, show photos of it. You will find that, as long as you are honest, most people don't care if the item is in perfect condition.

Use The Right Keywords When You Sell Used Clothing

It is also important to use the right keywords in your title. You will want to include:

  • The brand name or manufacturer
  • Size
  • Color
  • Fabric content
You may also want to use the acronym: "EUC," which means "Excellent Used Condition." Just make sure that you are descriptive and don't waste words here.

Talk To Other Sellers

Whenever you decide to sell used clothing on eBay, it is a good idea to join some groups and forums in order to be able to talk to other sellers. They will be able to help you through the learning curve.
