The Orange County Risk Management Association and SingerLewak are pleased to present "Is There a Future for Community Banks - What is going on?", a presentation by banking industry and business attorney Gary Steven Findley, president of Gary Steven Findley & Associates, on Wednesday, September 21, 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the Pacific Club, 4100 MacArthur Blvd., Newport Beach.

With a difficult economy, increasing regulation, low interest rates and limited returns, many bankers and board members are wondering if there is a future for community banks. Anaheim attorney Gary Steven Findley, with 32 years of experience in the industry, will share his view of what the community bank landscape will look like over the next five years. He opined, "There is a future for community banks, but it will take courage and tough decisions. For a few that have what it takes, there will be great opportunities."

The Findley family has been serving independent banks in California and the western U.S. for over 50 years. In addition to his work as an attorney, Findley is president of The Findley Reports, a banking publication and educational organization which specializes in the publication of financial information which includes Findley Reports' Banking Newsletter for directors and senior managers. He is also owner and director of The Findley Companies, the consulting arm of the Findley organization with primary emphasis in strategic and capital development, facilitation and director and management retreats, management analysis and regulatory compliance.
