Send Dad a Free Father's Day E-Card This Year

Make Sure Your Card Makes it on Time This Year!

It is the time of year when we once again start preparing to honor that most important man in our life, our father. The man who was there to be our cornerstone and support our family throughout our growing-up years, and the man who continues to be a support to us emotionally as adults; even the man who loved to embarrass us as teenagers!

It has been my experience that as I have grown older I have come to appreciate my parents on a more personal level. I don't always look at them as "mom and dad" anymore, but instead as individuals. I view them not only as my parents, but also as friends and very important people who have had a key role in shaping my life. They have helped define who I am today.

I have also come to see how much the simple things I do mean to my parents. A phone call, a letter, and yes, even an e-card have great power to make their days just a little bit brighter. I have become a huge fan of e-cards over the past few years. I send them for special occasions to those I love, but I also send them just for fun. I enjoy the thought that someone I care about is going to open up their email to find a sweet surprise, and know that I am thinking of them that day.

With Father's Day coming up, I set out on my yearly search for some fun and free Father's Day e-cards. I enjoy browsing through e-card sites, as they change often, and they differ greatly in content. While many e-card sites are for paid members only, you can still find some wonderful free e-cards as well!

My favorite website for inspirational e-cards is DaySpring. They have a fantastic selection of cards for just about any occasion. Biblically based, DaySpring offers something that many websites don't; cards that allow your faith to shine through. Sending a card through DaySpring is a wonderful way to spread some joy and encouragement to the special people in your life.

If you like to scrapbook, you may want to consider going to Smilebox.com. This website allows you to go above and beyond your typical free Father's Day e-card. You can actually create a digital scrapbook page, personalized with your own photos for your dad. You send it just like you would any other e-card, but it is much more personal. Fabulous!

Hallmark.com is probably one of the most well known e-card sites. While a lot of the cards you must pay for, they do have some free ones as well. You may need to register, but it is well worth it for the quality of their e-cards. They aren't just your typical "cheesy" free e-cards.

Fathersday-ecards.com is a site that is strictly for free Father's Day e-cards, and nothing else. No other holidays, so it makes finding a card for dad very easy.

Care2.com is unique because when you send your e-card through their website, you are also generating donations to charitable organizations. They have a large selection of cards to choose from, and I think this is a very cool concept for a free e-card site.

These are my top five picks, but you there are certainly many more sites out there as well. If you don't find what you are looking for on the sites above, simply go to your favorite search engine and type in "free Father's Day e-cards". You'll be amazed at how many sites are available!
