Send a E-Card Through SOS Children's Villages to Honor SOS Mothers on International Women's Day

Jeff Musall
Women and children are the most vulnerable members of society when it breaks down. Throughout distressed and dangerous areas of the world, SOS Children's Villages. provide safe haven. Children are given a place to live, laugh, and love - and so are the women who work with SOS Children's Villages.

From the SOS release detailing the celebration:

"Today is the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day, a time to honor women who are the very fabric of our societies and communities across the world. Even in times of uncertainty and chaos, as we've seen in recent weeks in the Middle East and North Africa, women continue to selflessly dedicate their lives to the care of children who need them most.

At SOS Children's Villages, thousands of SOS Mothers devote their lives to providing orphaned and abandoned children with the love and nurturing needed to raise secure, charitable and independent adults.

Today, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day, we offer a tribute to SOS Mothers in Africa and around the world by sharing their moving stories with you."

They go on to highlight women whose lives have been directly impacted by SOS Children's Villages, and detail how those women impact the lives of children.

They are offering you not only the chance to read the stories and hear about the good work done by SOS, but to also send an E-Card to a woman in your life this International Women's Day.
