Residents are blessed with many options for seniors to enjoy for recreation and social activities. Pinellas resident voters recently renewed by majority vote, to continue a 1% additional sales tax called "A penny for Pinellas" that helps fund a variety of community recreation options.

    MAYOR BILL, I AM A 61 YEAR OLD DISABLED MAN THAT HAS WORKED HARD ALL MY LIFE.I MOVED HERE TO ST.PETE 21 YEARS AGO BECAUSE I FELT THAT IT WAS THE BEST PLACE TO RETIRE .YES OUR CITY HAS ITS EVERY DAY PROBLEMS AND WITH THE ECONOMY IN THE DUMPSTER IT MAKES IT REALLY HARD ON THE ELDERLY, THAT ARE FIGHTING TO KEEP THERE HOMES,PAY BILLS AND HAVE AFFORDABLE MEDICAL DON'T YOU THINK WITH ALL THAT MONEY YOU WANT TO SPEND ON A NEW BASE BALL STADIUM, THE PIER,AND OTHER,BIG PROJECTS ,THAT WE ARE NOW FUNDING WITH RED LIGHT CAMERAS, MORE SPEEDING TICKETS,CODE VIOLATIONS, AND SOME OF YOUR OTHER PROJECTS, THAT THEASE FUNDS COULD HELP US OLD PEOPLE!     At age 60 Iwas a victim of an attack..
    Because it involved a sheriff deputy I was arrested on a felony charge.
    I was found not guilty immediately by the jury. The Pinellas cou nty sheriff office is an abusive powerful agency.

    This is a warning to all seniors, you are not treated fairly in this county.
    Do not move or vacation in Pinellas.
    I am not the only senior that this has happened to and will not be the last.
