Sites like Triond, Ehow, Associated Content, Helium and Hubpages are strictly designed and setup to be a vessel for content like yours. While each one are different in a lot of ways, they are also similar in that they want you to succeed. Your success equals their success. So why don't these websites take a greater interest in your articles? Why don't the editors check over your article themselves and optimize your content to fit the best SEO it can? Why don't they edit out all of the misspelled words, punctuation errors and poor use of grammar? Why don't they go out and find great videos to fit your content or cool photos that will sharpen your presentation?
The real deal is this: They cannot afford to pay that many editors to correct your grammar and punctuation. They cannot afford to have these editors working on your article for hours at a time. The average article on the internet earns about a penny or less a month. A penny. With thousands of articles being submitted daily and most only earning a penny or less monthly, how in the world could they afford to pay all those editors? The truth is that they can't. The best they can do is provide a space for you to show your work, like an art gallery. They keep half, or more or less depending on the site. Simple as that. To prevent the headache of plagiarism they set up guidelines to keep everything legal. They hire few editors to carry a big load so that they can spend money on improving the business and building a better site.
Sorry guys but the bill falls on us. Like I said at the beginning, they want us to succeed. It's just up to us to do so. They don't get paid unless we get paid. So how do you break into this world and become successful?
You read. And read. And read.
There is a world of knowledge out there for the taking. There are articles on how to learn the proper way to write search tags. There are articles out there informing you of the best websites to work with. There are networking sites by the bunches out there waiting to provide you an opportunity to share your work. There are tutorials and help desks, forums and videos. There are articles that teach you how to imbed photos and videos, how to link and how to write titles. There is a world of knowledge out there ready to help you succeed.
The problem is that not every article or tutorial out there is necessarily accurate. Some are trying to sell you or solicit you something for their gain. So read several articles on each topic to gain different viewpoints. About.com is a great source for consistent advice. Triond, Associated Content, Ehow and Helium aren't bad either.
Once you find an article that you really like check out that writer. Chances are that writer is good with their other articles as well. If you can find a really good source tap into everything they have to offer.
Lastly, stay focused. Seriously, anyone can do this. It takes time and commitment. You may not see the fruit of your labor for some time but eventually, if you work hard and invest time, you will.
