- Use keywords in the titles of your web pages. You know that little blue bar at the top of your screen? Keywords placed there can help you page get noticed even more than keywords placed in the body of a page; though this doesn't mean that you should refrain from using keywords in the body, as well - in fact, it's just the opposite. Keywords work well in both the title and body of any webpage, and they should always be used in order to maximize your site's exposure.
- Take advantage of the fact that web users commonly misspell words when searching on the internet, and try to use a couple common misspellings of your chosen keywords within your content, as well. This way you can even attract the users who have less than perfect spelling or grammar.
-Make sure to link all of your individual web pages to your main home page. The more links a particular page has going to it, the higher it will be displayed within any relevant search engine results. However, you'll want to make sure that all of these internal and external hyperlinks are relevant to the type of content you provide, or your search engine ranking may actually go down.
-Create as many pages as possible, even if each page has only a short paragraph or two. The more pages your site has, the more likely it is to be found by users who are surfing the internet. But again, make sure that these pages actually pertain to the rest of your website's content, or you may find it harder to attract genuine visitors.
-Use a reliable web hosting service. When it comes to the functionality of a webpage, there is nothing more damaging than downtime caused by a server malfunction or power outage with your web hosting company. And if your site is down when the search engine spiders come by in order to index your site, you'll be out of luck - they only index the sites which they can actually access at that time.
