Sephora's Super Supreme Body Butter Delivers Some Serious Competition
Move Over, Bath and Body Works!
Why it's great: This is the most deeply moisturizing body lotion, cream, or butter I've ever come across. It's ideal for seriously dry skin, but as long as your skin isn't naturally super-oily, this body butter is a delicious treat. Made with shea butter, Italian olive oil, and Brazilian caupuacu, it delivers intense moisture with the most exotic and luxurious ingredients. The body butter itself is white, and has a rich, whipped texture. On the skin, it feels rich, but not overly-oily, and the moisturizing effects last all day (or night). The scent is pleasant, but hard to describe. It's not overtly fruity or flowery, and it's not overpowering once rubbed into your skin. If you're not sure if you'll love it, try to get yourself to a Sephora store (located in many major cities), where they have testers for just about everything for sale in the store.
Benefits: One tub of this body butter will last you nearly forever. I've had mine for over a year! Because of its super-rich formula, a little butter goes a long way. It also includes a Super Dose Antioxidant Complex. Other natural ingredients include jojoba butter, babassu oil, cranberry oil, olive butter, grapeseed oil, vitamins A, C and E, bergamot and white tea, Chinese lemongrass, thyme, and amber.
Tips: Massage it in all over right after you get out of the shower to optimize your skin's moisture retention. It's also great for restoring dry elbows, knees and feet in the wintertime to their usual beautiful condition. Super Supreme Body Butter also makes a great gift for your girlfriends, moms, or grandmothers-or just about anyone who loves smooth, moisturized skin. In fact, that's how I got mine!
Cost: $15 for 16 oz.
Where to get it: Available online at www.sephora.com and in Sephora stores nationwide.
A similar product you might want to try is Sephora BODY Super Supreme Body Butter. At a price of $25 for 13.52 oz, this one is the "luxury edition" of my favorite Body Butter. It's a rich, ultra-hydrating body balm formulated for all skin types, and is made with moisturizing, nourishing, and protective shea butter. Also available at the Sephora website.
