Surprisingly, after purchasing a few products I found that they were comparable in quality to Mac products!
The eye shadows are just as pigmented and crease resistant as Mac products, and are actually bigger than Mac shadows (.07oz compared to Mac's .05oz). They are long wearing, and blend easily. Currently, 16 colors are available. Most of these colors are very bright, and very glittery. Even the "matte" and "pearl" shades in this collection are considerably sparkly. I think that Most of these shades are too bright or sparkly for day to day wear for most women. However I find that when used sparingly the more "neutral" shades like Carnivora, Choco, Romeo, Bulletto and Samba can be easily mixed with neutral matt shadows to create a classy, sophisticated day look.
Although you probably wouldn't wear most of these shadows to the office, these electric colors are great for a hot night out on the town, especially throughout the summer months. For an extra dramatic night look, pair one of these bright shadows with one of the bold liquid liners from this collection. These liners have a marker like, chiseled tip, which make them remarkably easy to apply. The product dries fast, and will stay put throughout the day. The only downside is that this liner dries so fast that it is difficult to smudge it out if you're looking for a less precise line.
If they idea of a liquid liner makes your nervous, this collection also has a series of pencil liners. 14$ is a steal for these bright, bold liners, however buyer beware! All of these liners are glittery.
There are four shades of colored mascara in this line; a black, a blue, a green and a purple. Purple mascara has long been a favorite of mine, because I find that it compliments my hazel eyes, however I found the Tokidoki mascara to be of poor value for the price. It was clumpy and the colors were not intense; I have gotten a much better result with cheaper, drug store brand mascara.
Finally, the Tokidoki line at Sephora also has a variety of shades of lip stains and lip glosses. The stains are longwearing and lasting, and the glosses offer a pretty punch of color. These are a good value at 15$ each, which is comparable to other brands.
Overall, I am impressed with the pigment in Sephora's new Tokidoki line. These bright colors can pump up and summer outfit. Like all brands, some shades in this collection are more wearable than others. I am however extremely disappointed with the packaging of this product. The packaging is very juvenile, so although I love the products I feel silly carrying them around in my purse because they look childish. Also, I find that the eye shadows are packaged in a very environmentally friendly way; the designers certainly put marketing before practicality in this case.
Overall I give this new line a 7.5, because the colors are bright, bold and fresh, and the pigments last all day long.
