Festivals and Fairs
There will be three great fairs and festivals to explore. The Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair will be held on September 2 to September 5. It will showcase many different art forms (paintings, videos and other multimedia) from over 50 different art galleries. Another on is the XII Blurred Borders International Dance Festival which is going on its 12th year. It will be held at three different locations: the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, the Horton Plaza, and the Sushi Performing and Visual Arts Space. It will run from September 2 to September 5. The third one to explore is the San Diego Film Festival in the Gaslamp Theater. This will be held from September 29 to October 3, and will showcase many different screenings from over 75 different videos and movies from around the world.

Special Events and Performances
There will be many different special performances during this month long ode to The Arts. A couple of highlights will be the 11th Annual Cinema en tu Idioma Film Series on September 10 to September 16 at the UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas. It will showcase new Spanish, Latin American and Mexican film and cinema projects. The Sight and Sound Concert at the Bay will have rock bands and art pieces in an outdoor setting, featuring San Diego artists. The best part is you can experience it live, outside and free. This is held on September 3.

Family Activities and Events
The big family event, and a favorite among both visitors and residents, is the ArtWalk on the Bay. This event will be held from September 18 to September 19 at The Waterfront Park at the Hilton San Diego Bay Front which makes it easy to both attend and park. This is where you can see first hand great art in San Diego in an open setting. Another one is Art Splash in Carlsbad. This is strolling event, held on the sidewalks of Carlsbad, where beautiful and unique art and old time masterpieces will be actually recreated with chalk directly on the sidewalks. Art Splash will be held on September 25 to September 26.
