Serial Bomb Blast in Bangalore, India

At least two persons, including a woman, died and many were injured in serial bomb blasts that occur in Bangalore today. Seven explosions took place at intervals of a few minutes. The first explosion took place around 1.45 p.m. IST at a Madivala lake bus stand near Mallya hospital.

The second bomb blast took place near Madivala check post.

The third explosion occurred at Nayandhalli near Mysore road. Other four explosions took place at Aurugodi, Koramangla and Hosur road. Out of these four explosions, two explosions took place at Aurugodi. The explosions are of low intensity. All injured are admitted to St John Hospital of Bangalore.

The Madiwala lake area is crowded area of Bangalore. This area is known for wholesale vegetable market. This area was over crowded during evening and morning time but around noon, it was sparsely crowded. When the explosion took place, there were very few people in that location. A woman died and many injured in that explosion. Exact numbers of injuries are still unknown. Local civic body urges people not to go out of the home. Authority jammed the mobile network and issue high alerts in the city.

According to eyewitnesses, the bombs were placed in garbage.

The bombs were exploded through a timer.
