I was watching a video online, a commercial online several months ago. How many of you know who Kobe Bryant is? [Show the Video if you have it]. Well, in this video, a car drives straight towards him, and he jumps right over it. He is advertising for a Nike shoe called "Hyper-Dunks". Now if I bought some "Hyper-Dunk" shoes, do you think I could jump over a car? The answer is "Of course not!" Remember that our faith is only as good as the object our faith is in. In our Christian lives, our object of faith is Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the only Way to get to God the Father! If He is our object of faith for salvation, then we should have continual peace, for He is sufficient and immutable!

Jesus died to make my life better.
Last night I talked with a youth who I had previously pointed to Christ. She professed to trust in Christ alone for her salvation; she was in tears over her sin and the joy of forgiveness the entire 30+ minutes we talked; and she accepted the Lord; and followed in believer's baptism. Now, because life is not working out the way she thinks it should, she professes to be an agnostic. She believes there is a god; she just does not believe the Scriptures or in Christ. In this case, she falsely believed that Christ would make everything work out for her definition of good; and the moment things did not go her way, she rebelled completely. False teaching is detrimental; it kills those who heed it; it keeps the gospel from taking root in those who are considering it... whether it is individual professed Christians or entire congregations.

All good people go to heaven
A friend, about two and a half years ago returned from overseas. Before he left for overseas, he professed to be a Christian. Since he has returned, he told me he encountered some Buddhists over where he was stationed; and he believes now that they too are going to heaven because they live so disciplined that they do not sin. Church, we must always and never cease to believe that Jesus is the only way to God's grace. Any other claims are false, and should be discarded regardless how "good" they appear.
